Here are some of the logos we have designed for clients. For our firm, logo design is a fine balance of symbolism, typography and meaning.
if a designer's portfolio all looks and feels the same,
keep looking
for a new designer.
For the client above, we designed a logo that represented their core mission; to educate more people of color about financial planning. By the year 2050, POC are expected to be the majority, and between the semi-colon between the 2 and the 5, and the "chains" of the 0's, there is a lot to unpack about the black experience, all in a simple set of numbers. Yet, only the owners would know!
After ten + years in the wedding and events industry one thing we will NEVER let go of is paper design! Custom stationery is our love language here at Sugar Taylor Co. Take a peek at some of our favorites over the last couple of seasons, and let us know if you would like to commission our team to create a one of a kind paper experience for your next event, or a custom branded gift box for your company.
Here are a collection of some of our favorite events and production design. We live for bold, eye catching design details, infused with color and textures! At the end of the day, your event should reflect who YOU are in the most vibrant way. If you need to see more, simply ask!
quality Event design should touch on every sense.
If you're not having this much fun, we want no parts of it.
Soul Taco is a much applauded, Richmond Virginia based taco restaurant with a soul-food infused taco menu that will blow your mind. We were hired to create their brand identity, interior design, and Art Direction.
We went for a 90's style design that was not overly throw back, with some street art, and a colorful design palette. We created over 20 custom illustrations for their gallery wall, and a custom fabric pattern for the seating areas.
We have designed two locations for Soul Taco, and currently designing their new venture: JewFro.
This is an image of Sugar, eating a delicious taco like a troglodyte.

Elevated Tea Co. is a luxury, women owned CBD tea company based out of Washington, D.C. We were hired to create their full brand design and web, packaging design, and art direction.
Each tea variety features a hand-drawn pattern to illustrate the flavor. The vibrant, earthy colors against the pops of copper metallic foil, really bring the packaging to life. The logo is designed to look like an ancient Egyptian flower, with an Adrinka symbol as a focal point. To say this project was major fun is an understatement!

During one of the brand style shoots, Sugar insisted that her nails make at least one of the shots. :)

California based menstrual cup company, FemmyCycle, creates ultra comfortable, eco-friendly cups and cup cleaning products. They wanted a lively brand that packed a ton of energy in everything from the logo, to the packaging and that is exactly what they got! We were hired to create their full brand design and web, packaging design, and art direction. We also created completely custom influencer gift boxes, and designed their launch strategy.
The logo in particular is one of our faves: the face could also be a horizon across the ocean, a woman looking up at the stars, or the moon over the word FemmyCycle. I believe they will be a household brand in no time! They even let us put "Not a Vagina Candle" candles in their gift boxes, I mean, come on.

Working with @AnneKim Photo for these pictures was fun, particularly, her method of shooting live so you can see the product images on her computer as we work.

Our task was daunting: bring a very "classic" third generation owned family bakery into the 99' and 2000's and make it modern without losing that forever feel that the name naturally evokes. Grandson to the original owner, Areen, hired us for full branding, packaging design, art direction, and interior design.
Working with a neutral palette set against a bold gold, and a custom "marble pattern" that ambiguously looks like batter being stirred, we had a great time not only building a legacy brand for this family but a life long friendship.
This custom art we created is also featured on their wax paper, and it is an illustrated history of their bakery. Owner Areen Movsessian is pictured beneath.
